Loving the Lord Jesus Christ is what the Christian life is all about. If you are a Christian, you love Christ. Unfortunately your love is subject to fluctuation in its intensity. It takes a focused commitment on your part to love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. There is perhaps no better illustration of this waning intensity than what happened to the church at Ephesus, to whom Christ said, “I have this against you, that you have left your first love” (Rev. 2:4).
